Training Update


In 2004 – 2005 NTCOSS was able to offer specialised training in management and governance to the Community sector under our Regional Network Training Program.
 During this time the following training sessions were offered in Darwin, Katherine, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs.
  1. Team Building
  2. Coaching, Mentoring, and Supervising Staff
  3. Managing Your Stress
  4. Cross Cultural Issues for managers
  5. Managing Conflict
  6. Risk Management

 The following two training sessions were offered in Darwin and Alice Springs
  1. Internet banking
  2. Getting the most our of insurance

 A training session on media was also offered in Darwin.
A series of 5 governance workshops was offered in Alice Springs – Team Development, Revamping Your Constitution, Meetings and Minutes, Leadership and management, Strategic Planning.

Unfortunately, in Nov 2005 until May 2006 no training can be offered due to a lack of funding.

NTCOSS are pleased with its efforts to provide affordable and relevant training to the community sector particularly that provided in regional areas and hopes that such initiatives will be continued in the future.
