Improving the wellbeing of children and families in the Northern Territory goes a long way to ensuring the growth of the NT both socially and economically. The lead up to the upcoming Northern Territory is an important time to determine where parties and candidates stand on specific issues of concern…..

NTCOSS has sent 4 key election asks to key candidates, seeking responses and commitments. These asks are critical to assisting those experiencing vulnerability and disadvantage in the Northern Territory and are built around four policy areas of Child Protection, Cost of Living, Justice and Alcohol.  2016 NT Election Asks.

NTCOSS will make candidate responses to these Asks publically available in the lead up to the election.

MEDIA WELCOME: NTCOSS is hosting a Q&A style panel discussion in Darwin that will place together the electorate, political leaders and community sector experts to thrash out the biggest social justice issues affecting the Northern Territory. This is a chance for the public to ask questions of candidate, hear the credentials of the two major parties on social policy and reform and the views of community leaders on the solutions.  When: Monday 15 August, 6-7.30 pm Where: Charles Darwin University, Mal Nairn Theatre
