Capacity Building ‘Assisting alcohol and other drug non-government organizations to undertake organizational change to better meet the needs of clients experiencing comorbid substance abuse and mental illness’ Get Information about: Capacity Building in the Darwin region is firstly about understanding what the non-government alcohol and other drug service providers need to provide the best possible services to people who use their services and also experience issues related to mental health. It is not about agencies changing their focus or expanding the number of people using the services. At the NTCOSS Conference 2008, a Cross Sector Workshop was convened to explore the issues of workers in the drug and alcohol, mental health and general health sectors with respect to services for people who seek assistance and are experiencing issues related to both alcohol and other drug use and mental health. Forty-five participants provided a great deal of feedback and ideas. Please find the summary of that forum attached here Screening and Assessment from the VAADA website Capacity Building Assessments from the VAADA website Policy ideas and sicussion papers from the VAADA website Final Service Provider Consultancy Feedback Report: Appendix-Extended Data Summary for the five focus questions, please download the document here
